I had a wonderful time photographing my friend Kelsey’s five day old baby last week. Kelsey did a home birth and had an amazing experience. Her little guy came in at 8 pounds, 3 ounces and 20.5 inches long. They are still trying to decide on his name so for now he is Baby Eastburn.
Kelsey’s midwife, Dr. Tiffany Dietrich, is opening the first birth center on the central coast, Santa Lucia Birth Center. They had their first birth early this morning. You can following the progress of the center on their facebook page. I’m so thrilled that I will be able to donate some of my artwork for display. The birth center will be a wonderful addition to our natural birthing community.

Baby Eastburn looks so peaceful,warm and content. These photos capture the true moment. Kelsey you look beautiful glowing like a newly mother for the second time. Baby Eastburn has some of amelia’s features. I enjoyed the pics.

During our recent heat wave, I was able to photograph 10 days old, baby Teague. You may recognize his mom, Arya, from her maternity session. Our session was in the morning, and by the time we started it was already 90 degrees outside. We took this opportunity to photograph a number of images out in the garden. Teague was in heaven in the warm blanket of heat. He slept so soundly while we were outside and the moment we went inside, the refreshing cool air perked him right up. This gave me the opportunity to capture his amazing big blue eyes and budding personality.

I really love the wooden bowl, outside with the rocks especially, but I have to say my favorite is the one with him that looks like he’s saying ‘Ooooh”. He is adorable and perfect!
Kiwi, I would have never guessed how much I love these artistic shots of my grandson. He looks positively heavenly. I must confess to a few favorites; I love the one where he is wearing a knitted cap and scarf, I adore the one with Arya, and I like the ones where he is in the wooden bowl and on the fluffy white thing. Beautiful work! I look forward to making a purchase.

From the moment I met Koen with his big blue eyes, cool hair, and handsome smile, I just knew we were going to have a wonderful session. Melissa and David were winners of my Birth and Baby Fair drawing last Spring. We had an amazing time photographing and getting to know them during their portrait session.

What great pictures. Of course how could you go wrong with such a beautiful family and such a great photographer. Could my grandson be any cuter? NO WAY.
I had the most amazing time photographing this tiny 10 day old. Mom and Dad were wonderfully patient and lulled their little guy into a deep slumber.
