Alina & Kaila | Urban Portraits

Every few months we like to take our girls out for a “just for fun” photo shoot. They love being photographed and it is always a treat for them to go out and be the center of attention. We found this nice urban backdrop at the end of the summer and thought it would be a fun place to take the girls. Trevor put together this fusion video from their session. As you can see we have one future dancer on our hands and another future photographer.

We had a fun time photographing this cute bunch right before Christmas. The kids were naturals in front of the camera even with all the hustle and bustle of Christmas shoppers downtown. It’s always a pleasure when clients find us online and are willing to drive a couple hours to be photographed.

The Montoya Family | San Luis Obispo Family Portraits

We had the privilege of photographing the Montoya family’s portraits earlier this month. We love photographing this fun bunch, with three boys and one more on the way their sessions are always exciting. The boys love trains so we thought that the future location of San Luis Obispo railroad museum would be a wonderful place for their portrait session. I can’t wait to photograph their new baby in about a month.

Happy Birthday Alina!

Happy birthday to my sweet Alina! She turns 5 today. It’s amazing how fast the years fly by.

Erwin Family | Morro Bay Photographer

We had a wonderful afternoon with this fun family at the beach in Morro Bay. I had the privilege of photographing their son, Noah’s newborn portraits last year. I absolutely love being able to photograph children as they grow. Once again Noah was so adorable and very easy in front of the camera. Halfway through the session he decided to take a catnap and woke up later to continue being his happy and smiling self. Katrina’s brothers joined us for some extended family portraits. Despite the extremely windy day, everyone had a great time and we were able to capture some beautiful images.

That first shot of the family is perfectly captured moment. Noah is a doll–his face is pure joy and sweetness.

Great job once again, we love the picture of Noah and Joe as well as the one of Katrina and her brothers. We can definitely see everyone’s personalities in each photo.

Springtime Tea Party | Children’s Portraits

Early this Spring, my friend Kelli and I thought it would be fun to put together a tea party portrait session for our girls. We had so much fun putting together this beautiful dreamscape. The kids had a wonderful time being photographed and in the end they were rewarded with yummy cupcakes from On A Lark Cupcake Shoppe. Even if it takes awhile to get around to editing ‘just for fun’ sessions, the important thing is to take time to capture the images in the first place. It’s my goal to take my girls out every few months just to capture them here and now. They grow up in the blink of an eye or snap of a shutter;).
